Our small scale, collaborative approach allows us to carefully consider all aspects of each project, in order to produce a thoughtfully built, practical, and beautiful home, all within a defined budget.

Union Square Duplex

This sought-after neighborhood has an abundance of aging multi-family housing, with zoning that necessitates rehabilitating existing structures rather than tearing down and building new. These projects require intense focus throughout all phases to ensure every aspect is maximized. We carefully demolished 49% of the existing structure and added a substantial addition, to create two unique multi-level dwellings. During a lull in the 2025 housing market, both units went under agreement in less than one week.

Heights New Construction

This home was built brand new from the ground up. The site incorporated several challenges which required creative solutions to stay on time and on budget. Planning and permitting comprised six months, with construction requiring an additional six months. The result is a gracious, flexible, highly efficient, durable and spacious home.

Modernist Hideaway

Our most extensive project: Full renovation of a circa 1954 mid-century Modern masterpiece, plus two additions in keeping with the original architect’s vision. Four years in process. Challenging existing site conditions required extensive problem solving to realize the project brief. We retrofitted radiant floor heat into the existing slab, incorporated countless custom details throughout, and worked hand in hand with the design team, contractor, site team, landscapers and other specialty trades to engage them all in producing a truly special, one of a kind home.

Completed in a short eight month schedule, we gutted an existing two family structure set on a confined lot in Arlington, MA. The resulting triplex units were each completed with finished basement ensuite bedrooms, decks on multiple levels, all new utilities and high efficiency appliances. With thoughtful design and rigorous attention to detail, we were able to balance the advantages of each unit, resulting in two very equal homes. Despite a cooling market and increasing mortgage rates, both units sold with multiple offers and above asking.
